The SLS AMG Roadster was just unveiled for the first time in Kuala Lumpur by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia for Mercedes-Benz Stylo Fashion Grand Prix, KL 2012. Bernd Maylander Mercedes-Benz Petronas F1 team safety driver and Dato’ Professor Jimmy Choo are the guest of honour to this event.

The SLS AMG Roadster is designed to be a modern 300SL Gullwing revival by Gorden Wagener. The car has a long bonnet, the passenger compartment is close to the rear axle and the rear of the car is short.

This roadster is having the same specifications, dimensions and drivetrain as the Coupe with gullwing doors. However, this one is more proper with a power folding fabric top and appropriate doors on both sides.

Technically, the SLS AMG Roaster is powered by 563bhp 6.2L V8 mated with AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed dual-clutch semi-automatic transmission. This massive engine has a huge torque of 650Nm @ 4,750rpm. The SLS AMG is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
