All new Toyota’s LandCruiser Prado Set to Arrive in Australia by Mid-2024

The forthcoming arrival of the all-new LandCruiser Prado range in Australia by mid-2024 promises to enhance the appeal of Australia’s beloved large SUV even further. This anticipated release will introduce a new off-road-focused variant, incorporate 48-volt technology throughout the lineup, and showcase retro-inspired styling, elevating the Prado’s status as a top choice for families and adventurers alike.

Toyota Australia’s Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Franchise Operations, Sean Hanley, expressed confidence that the redesigned LandCruiser Prado will continue to capture the hearts of Australian consumers. He highlighted the vehicle’s versatility, which seamlessly transitions from weekday family transportation to weekend off-road excursions, all while maintaining Toyota’s renowned reliability.

The upcoming LandCruiser Prado range will feature five variants: GX, GXL, VX, Kakadu, and the new Altitude grade, catering to diverse consumer preferences and needs. Each variant will embody the rugged capabilities associated with the LandCruiser name, with notable enhancements in driveability, technology, and design.

The GX variant will boast distinctive exterior features such as 18-inch dark grey alloy wheels and LED headlights. At the same time, its interior will offer comfort and convenience with features like automatic dual-zone climate control and a multimedia system with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

Stepping up to the GXL variant introduces additional amenities such as roof rails, rear privacy glass, a third row of seats for seven-seat capacity, and enhanced comfort features like heated and ventilated front seats and a wireless charging pad.

The VX variant will provide a premium experience with 20-inch premium dark metallic alloy wheels and leather-accented seats, along with advanced technologies including a 12.3-inch colour MID display and a premium 14-speaker JBL® audio system.

The new Altitude grade will cater to adventure-focused customers with exclusive features designed to tackle rugged terrain, including matte grey alloy wheels with all-terrain tires and a rear-locking differential. Inside, it will offer a digital rearview mirror, heated steering wheel, and head-up display.

At the top of the range, the Kakadu variant will offer additional luxury features such as a panoramic moonroof, illuminated side steps, and heated and ventilated rear seats, further enhancing the driving experience.

All variants will be powered by a robust 2.8-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder powertrain with 48-volt technology and an eight-speed automatic transmission, ensuring impressive performance both on and off the road.

The all-new LandCruiser Prado range will be available in a variety of exterior paint colours, including the Altitude-exclusive Tanami Taupe and Ningaloo Blue options.
