2012 Porsche Panamera S Hybrid set to debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
The luxury hybrid 4 door sports car comes with 380hp of combined power. In breakdown, 333hp churned out from a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine and 47hp from its electric motor. The engine mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission that handles shifting duties and regenerative braking charges the Panamera’s nickel-metal hydride battery. Porsche claims that the Panamera’s hybrid setup is good for 34.5 miles/gallon combined and emissions come in at approximately 159 grams/km of CO2.
Moreover, Porsche claiming that the Panamera S Hybrid emits less grams of CO2 per hp than virtually every other car on the road, including the Toyota Prius. The Panamera S Hybrid emits 2.4hp/ gram of CO2 emissions, while the Prius emits only 1.5hp/gram of CO2 emissions.
