Recently, we have been invited by one of our local famous importer on the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe. This car is roughly an inch-and-a-half longer, two inches wider and three inches lower than the CLK. Compared to the E-Class sedan, the Coupe is about seven inches shorter, four inches narrower and three-and-a-half inches lower.
The front of the car looks aggressive with its twin headlights. The rear three-quarter view is the best, the more prominent haunches flare out with an aggressive rake, the rear presenting a fitting ascension to cap the rising lines established at the front of the car. If you realise in our photo gallery, this model is having B-pillar-less design and standard panoramic roof put much more glass up top than metal roof.
Back in 2006, Mercedes-Benz introduces the new 3.5-liter V6 and fitted on its CLS. That new engine is the world’s first direct injection gasoline engine with piezoelectric injectors and spray-guided combustion. Known as Stratified-Charged Gasoline Injection (CGI), the system helps the engine outperform the fuel economy of its conventionally-injected counterpart by up to 15 percent. Now, the CGI engine is fitted to the E-Class coupe which no longer limited to the CLS350 CGI. Furthermore, the E-class coupe is also mated to BlueEfficiency measures such as brake energy recuperation, a water pump that only operates when required rather than being primed permanently and low-resistance tyres.
Performance:
– 0-100km/h in 6.3 secs
– Max speed at 250 km/h
Engine:
– Layout V6 , 3498 cc
– Max power 288 bhp at 6400 rpm
– Max torque 269 lb ft at 3000 rpm
Without the chance to test drive this beautiful machine and that’s a brief preview of the all-new 2010 Mercedes-Benz E350 Coupe from us. Anyway, check out the photo gallery and I bet you will fall in love on this coupe.
