Some call it a re-born of WRX. Subaru has revived the car on which the rally-bred WRX legend has been built with a sedan version of its fastest model, the WRX STI.
Unveiled at the 2010 New York motor show, the new WRX STI sedan gets more aggressive styling, including a huge rear wing and boldly flared wheel arches that give the small pocket rocket more visual presence and a wider track, for better handling.
The new STI will be powered by a 2.5-litre turbocharged engine running all four wheels, expected to perform 0-100km/h in a little over five seconds.
Subaru says the WRX STI sedan will be in Australia beside the United States of America by the end of 2010 joining the revised Subaru WRX line-up that brings with it more aggressive styling as part of a model update.
The Managing Director of Subaru Australia – Nick Senior comments that, We can confirm a four-door Impreza WRX STI will join our Australian line-up much later in the year and will be available from our exclusive STI retail network.
