The British sports car manufacturer – Aston Martin V12 Vantage has finally got approved by US. This monster machine offers a solid 510 horsepower on coupe platform. The “base” model starts from $179,995 in USA.
Instead of the 4.3-liter V-8 used in the V8 Vantage, the V12 model uses the DBS 5.9-liter V-12 under hood. The 510-horsepower V12 engine mated only with a six-speed manual transmission. This monster is capable to perform 0 – 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds (0.8 seconds faster than the V8 Vantage) and to a top speed of 190 mph — 15 mph faster than its V8 sibling.
By using forged aluminium wheels, lightweight inner rear fenders, along with both a hood and front splitter fabricated from carbon fibre, Aston’s managed to lighten a considerable amount of weight from the Vantage. In fact, the V12 Vantage weighs only 110 pounds more than the V8 Vantage. Setting apart from there, the coupe comes standard with carbon ceramic disc brakes, along with the suspension tuning is similar to that of a V8 Vantage equipped with the sport pack.
If the standard V12 Vantage is just too common for your tastes, you have an option for the Carbon Black Edition – an exclusive trim for the US market. This exclusive trim includes black metallic paint, carbon fibre accents, a reworked grille, 10-spoke black wheels and a host of interior appointments.
Pricing for the Carbon Black model priced at a $194,995 and both prices include the US $3,000 gas guzzler tax and $1,350 destination charge.
