Last Friday, Honda introduced the JDM version of its new Fit (Honda Jazz in our region) Hybrid along with the ordinary Fit model, which benefits from a minor facelift and equipment upgrades for Year 2011 model. Officially from the official, Honda already received 10,000 orders for the Fit Hybrid till date.
The newly-added Fit Hybrid is currently the most affordable gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle in Japan with a starting price of 1.59 million yen. The Honda Fit Hybrid uses the same IMA system with a 1.3 litre i-VTEC engine like the Insight Hybrid and Civic Hybrid. As mentioned in our earlier post, the Honda’s hybrid five-door hatchback model will go on sale in certain European markets from early 2011 along with the ordinary model.
