Good News for you! According to our reliable insider, Honda Malaysia is planning to launch the Honda Insight for Malaysia market. Thanks to the Malaysia Budget 2011 Tax Incentives for Hybrid Vehicles which extended until 31 December 2011.
With Honda Insight in Malaysia, I reckon that the play field for Hybrid Cars will turn to be more competitive with attractive prices.
The Awesome part:
(i) Honda Malaysia is targeting to price the Honda Insight in between RM 90,000 to RM 100,000
(ii) Target to launch in First Quarter 2011 (Most probably in February or March 2011)
(iii) Honda Eco Assist System that boost fuel efficiency + Improved Honda IMA system
(iv) Aerodynamic design
(v) Large Cargo Room
(vi) Fancy Multi-Information Display
(vii) Crash Test with 5 Star Euro NCAP
(viii) Will be fully imported from Suzuka, Mie, Japan
The LESS Awesome part:
(i) Based on 1.3-litre i-VTEC engine with less acceleration power
(ii) So-called Futuristic Styling
The goal of the Honda Insight is to make the best use of the most cost-effective hybrid technology. Moreover, the price is also designed to undercut the least expensive Toyota Prius.
