Mazda Motor Corp official announced to deliver a new engine with SKYACTIV technology on the next generation of Mazda2/Demio that capable to provide fuel efficiency of 30km/litre without any fancy hybrid technology. The new Mazda2/Demio and the new powerplant will be launched in Japan in first half of 2011.
Mazda is aiming to improve fuel economy on its cars by 30% by 2015 compared with 2008 levels by introducing the SKYACTIV technology on all of its cars by around 2016.
