Suzuki Grand Vitara & SX4 recalls for pulley failure

Suzuki America (AMERICAN SUZUKI MOTOR CORP.) has announced a recall of Suzuki Grand Vitara (year make 2009-2011) and Suzuki SX4 (year make 20010-2011). The recall was about a tension adjuster pulley that supports the drive belt, which is used to run the alternator, water pump, power steering pump as well as the air conditioner system. The risk of this defect which will lead to the belt slip off during driving. Driver will notice the vehicle immediately become difficult to steer and the engine could stop. All these is cause by an improper manufactured part of an internal spring that might break with repeated stressed.

Suzuki dealers will replace the related parts which no charges at all for the affect Suzuki Grand Vitara and Suzuki SX4. The recall which starts today 16th February 2011. There will be a total estimated 32,291 Suzuki vehicles affected under this recall.

NOTE : This recalls only applies to Suzuki Grand Vitara and SX4 that is manufacture in America. As for other countries Suzuki vehicles, we should wait for more updates.
