Mazda 3 Assembled in Malaysia – Priced Cheaper

Mazda Malaysia has just launch the CKD (Complete Knock-Down) unit of the Mazda 3. For those who don’t know, this means that Mazda 3 will be assemble locally in their plant in Kedah. With most of the import tax being eliminated, Mazda Malaysia is able to bring down the Mazda 3 price lower which to us a huge differences about +- RM10,000.

The local assemble Mazda 3 Malaysia will also wear a badge either GL or GLS on the right side of the boot, depending on the model variant.

* As the Mazda 3 CBU was all in metallic colours we compare it with the Metallic colour price. For the Solid Colour Mazda 3 refer below.

Mazda 3 1.6 Sedan Solid – RM 99,374.00

Mazda 3 1.6 HatchBack Metallic – RM104,653.00

Mazda 3 2.0 Sedan Metallic – RM119,374.50

Mazda 3 2.0 Hatchback Metallic – RM130,274.50

While you might notice the difference of Mazda 3 2.0 Hatchback has a much lesser difference, this is because Mazda Malaysia has included the optional accessories of  Full Leather Seat (RM2,800) and Touch Screen Audio & Navigator (RM3,350) into the Mazda 3 Hatchback 2.0L. For all other Mazda 3 these can be as optional accessories upgrade.

There will be 4 colours available for the local built Mazda 3 which are : Aluminium Metallic, Gunmetal Blue Mica, Black Mica and Arctic White.

The local assembled version of Mazda 3 will have minor differences as compare the Mazda 3 that has imported from Japan. Something to take note which is the Mazda 3 1.6 version either hatchback or sedan will now be equipped with foglight as standard.
