Here is the new face’ of Toyota’s luxury brand. The new Lexus LF-Gh concept has turned more aggressively styled and it will makes its global debut at next week’s at 2011 New York International Auto Show.
It is a bolder design language for its future models, as well as previewing the next-generation GS sedan. Lexus says the large spindle-shaped grille will be a key styling feature on its future vehicles and contributes to improved aerodynamics.
The new LF-Gh is longer, wider and lower than the current GS and its styling is an evolution of the company’s L-finesse’ design language first seen on the 2005 IS.
The design examines the possibility of balancing what are normally opposing qualities, such as style and functionality, says the general manager of Lexus’s design division, Kengo Matsumoto.
Although only a concept, we hope the LF-Gh will resonate with our customers worldwide, and communicate our intention to once again advance ideas about the face of Lexus luxury in the years to come.
