Porsche has officially launched the new Porsche Panamera Turbo S and Panamera S Hybrid at the Porsche Centre Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
At the same time, Porsche took the same opportunity to unveil its new exclusive Boxster Spyder (Only 1 unit in Malaysia) and 911 GT3 RS 4.0 (Only 5 units in Malaysia from total 600 units worldwide).
In this article, we will concentration on the Porsche’s new Gran Turismo series. And follow by the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 and Boxster Spyder in a separate article.
These two new variants are tailored for different set of customers with completely diverse requirements. The Panamera Turbo S is for individual that on the lookout for for a pure performance driving machine with power and features of a supercar. While the Panamera S Hybrid is for individual that favoured a balance of performance, technology, fuel efficiency plus an initiative of a greener car.
Porsche Panamera Turbo S

The new Panamera Turbo S is powered by the 4.8-litre V8 Twin Turbo engine and mated with 7-speed PDK transmission. The engine output 550hp @ 6,000rpm with a max torque of 750Nm @ 2,250rpm-4,500rpm. While Sport or Sport Plus mode are selected, the engine will run overboost and deliver a max torque of 800Nm @ 2,250rpm-4,000rpm. Overall, the Panamera Turbo S have added 50bhp and 30Nm of torque more than the standard Panamera Turbo. Thanks to the improved turbochargers with titanium-aluminium turbine wheels and modified engine control.
By using the Launch Control, the Panamera Turbo S can manage 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 306 km/h, despite the fuel consumption similar to the standard Panamera Turbo.
The selling price of this new Porsche Panamera Turbo will be starting from RM 1,360,000 in Peninsular Malaysia. Likewise, this exclusive four-door Gran Turismo comes with a 4-year warranty and 4-year free service package.

Porsche Panamera S Hybrid

The new Panamera S Hybrid is claims to be the most fuel efficient Porsche ever built. The Panamera S Hybrid borrows and tweaks the supercharged 3.0-litre direct-injection V6, 47hp electric motor and 8-speed tiptronic auto transmission from Porsche’s Cayenne S Hybrid. The 3.0-litre V6 compressor engine delivering 333hp and supported by a 47hp electric motor. In total, the Panamera S Hybrid delivers a combined engine power of 380hp @ 5,500rpm with an average fuel consumption of just 6.8-litre/100km.
For the torque by the hybrid powerplant, the 3.0-litre V6 compressor engine deliver 440Nm of torque @ 3,300rpm-5,250rpm, while the electric motor deliver its direct 300Nm of torque up to 1,150rpm. When both combined, the max torque is 580Nm @ 1,000rpm. Basically, you will be able to feel the power of instant torque from this baby.
The Panamera S Hybrid is capable to perform 0-100km/h in 6.0 seconds and a top speed of 270 km/h.
Undesirably, the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid is not entitled for the hybrid tax incentives in Malaysia due to its large engine displacement. Thus, the selling price will be starting from RM 910,000 in Peninsular Malaysia. It also comes with a 4-year warranty and 4-year free service package.
