BMW will unveil the all-new F30 3-Series sedan in long wheelbase at the upcoming 2012 Auto China Show in Beijing. This special variant is tailored for Chinese customers looking for premium vehicles with extra leg space in the rear passenger area.

The first long wheelbase 3 Series for BMW will go head-to-head with the Audi A4L. This F30 3-series LWB will be manufactured in China and the extended platform will be the same one used for the upcoming BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo.
The new F30 3-Series LWB rides on an extended 2,920mm wheelbase, which is 110mm longer than that of the standard model, increasing the car’s length to 4,734mm.
The new 3-Series LWB offers in 3 variants with BMW TwinPower Turbo Technology, the 320Li powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with 181hp (184PS), the 328Li with a 242hp (245PS) from same 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and 335Li with a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-6 with 303hp (306PS). All variants are fitted as standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission and powering the rear wheels.
