The new BMW 316i features the latest innovations and technologies that are made available by BMW and is indistinguishable from its imported counterparts, resulting from the on-going transfer of advanced BMW assembly line technology, practices and standards to the country.

[singlepic id=14128 w=630 h= float=]The new locally assembled BMW 316i is powered by BMW TwinPower Turbo 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. Generating a maximum output of 100 kw/ 135hp and a maximum torque of 220 Nm, the BMW 316i is also equipped with VALVETRONIC and twin-scroll turbocharging which enables it to hit the 0-100 km/h sprint in 9.2 seconds and achieve a top speed of 210 km/h. The highly efficient engine is mated with BMW’s award winning 8-speed automatic transmission.
The all-new BMW 316i achieved an average EU test cycle fuel consumption level of 5.9 litres to every 100km travelled and a CO2 emission level of 137 grams per km. The BMW’s Auto Start/Stop function is integrated into the all-new 316i as well.
Driving Experience Control is also a standard feature in the new BMW 316i with BMW’s COMFORT, SPORT and ECO PRO modes all available at the touch of a button.
Like all contemporary BMW vehicles, the all-new BMW 316i Series allows customers to fully benefit from the latest innovations in information technology through BMW ConnectedDrive. Connecting the driver to the car as well as to the environment, the latest variant from BMW is fitted with a host of features and equipment to exude the complete premium innovation experience that the BMW brand has to offer, be it behind the wheel or in the passenger seat.
The all-new BMW 316i features BMW Live and BMW TeleServices made available through the 6.5” freestanding LCD panel and BMW iDrive controller as standard. BMW Live enables the car and driver to receive weather and news information services via RSS feeds inside the car. Other innovation offering for in-car vehicle connectivity in the all new BMW 316i include complete USB and Bluetooth connectivity to expand functionality for mobile phones, portable music players as well as on-board mobile office applications.

The all-new BMW 316i is now open for booking at all authorised BMW dealerships across the country. The retail price (on the road, without insurance, with BMW Service + Repair Inclusive (BS+RI) for the new, locally assembled BMW 316i is RM 209, 800.00 in Peninsular Malaysia.
