Recent Recall Expansion Announcement by Toyota Motor Corporation Not Applied to Toyota Vehicles in Malaysia

Recently, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) issued a press release regarding a recall expansion for 2.3 million vehicles manufactured between January 2006 to December 2011 due to Driver Side Airbag inflator for certain vehicles. TMC through its distributors and dealers will contact its customers once the remedial parts is ready, to replace the driver side airbag inflator at no cost to the customers.

After further clarification with UMW Toyota about this matter, the company officials confirmed that this recall does not involve Toyota models sold by UMW Toyota Motor in Malaysia.
